Important! The Neptune 360 NUFF file and the File Mapper allows up to eight alphanumeric characters for the UOM; the v4/v2 file allows three characters for the UOM.
The following table defines alternate and short names that Neptune 360 accepts for each UOM.
UOM | Short Name | Alternative Short Names | Notes |
---|---|---|---|
Cubic feet | FT3 | CCF, CCF 1, CF, CF3, Cu Ft, Cu. Ft. (with periods), F3, F^3 | CCF is an abbreviation for centum cubic feet, which is one-hundred cubic feet. |
Cubic meters (metres) | M3(2) | CCM, CM, CM3, CM32, Cu M, Cu. M. (with periods), kl, M^3, M3 | M3 is the preferred alternate short name as is more closely matches the display on the meter face, and it avoids confusion with both cubic centimeters and centimeters. |
Gallons (U.S.) | GAL | G, Gal, GL, USG | – |
Imperial Gallons | IPG | galUK, IG, Imp Gal, Imp. Gal. (with periods) | – |
Liters (litres) | LTR | DM3, Il, L, LT, ltr | Neptune uses this UOM infrequently. The MACH 10® can be configured for liters, kiloliters (kl or kL, which is the same as cubic meters) and for acre-feet (ac-ft). |
